Product Description
YOKOHAMA TRANSMISSION 80W GL-4 is a monograde automotive gear oil developed for manual transmissions and mechanical gear systems. Its additive balance supports the lubricating film on load-bearing gear surfaces and helps control wear under medium extreme-pressure conditions, including high-speed, low-torque and low-speed, high-torque operation. Thermal and oxidation stability help limit oil thickening and deposit formation, while rust, corrosion and foam control support dependable lubrication of gears, bearings and related components.
Application Areas
For passenger cars, pickups, trucks and buses requiring SAE 80W and API GL-4 in manual transmissions. It may also be considered for mechanical gearboxes in construction, agricultural and other off-highway equipment when the same grade and performance level are specified. Selection for synchronized gearboxes, medium-load axles and auxiliary gear units depends on the equipment maker s stated lubricant requirement.
