YOKOHAMA TRANSMISSION 75W-80 GL-5 is a multi-grade gear lubricant developed for automotive gear systems operating under high loads. Extreme-pressure additives support the lubricating film at hypoid gear contacts and help control surface wear under demanding conditions. Low-temperature fluidity supports oil circulation to gears and bearings during start-up. Thermal and oxidation stability help resist thickening and deposit formation at operating temperature, while foam, rust and corrosion control support consistent lubrication as speed and load vary.
Application Areas
For passenger cars and commercial vehicles requiring SAE 75W-80 and API GL-5 in differentials, axles and related mechanical gear units. Suitable hypoid and other heavily loaded gear systems should be selected according to the vehicle or equipment lubricant requirements. Use in manual or synchronized transmissions only when the manufacturer specifically requires this viscosity and GL-5 performance level.
