Product Description
YOKOHAMA TRANSMISSION 140 GL-1 is a single-grade gear lubricant for conventional manual transmissions and gear sets operating under low to moderate loads. Its lubricating film helps protect gear teeth and bearing surfaces under the specified service conditions. Formulated for applications that do not require extreme-pressure performance, it supports rust and corrosion control and resistance to oxidation and foaming.
Application Areas
For manual transmissions, mechanical gearboxes, axles and final drives where SAE 140 and API GL-1 or API GL-3 are specified. Suitable for compatible straight, helical and bevel gear sets and low-load differential or auxiliary gear systems in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and agricultural or off-highway equipment. Not intended for hypoid gears that require extreme-pressure protection.
