What is the difference between synthetic and mineral oil?

Mineral oils are produced by adding the necessary additives to base oil obtained from processing petroleum. Synthetic oils, on the other hand, are obtained by adding the necessary additives after undergoing various chemical processes in laboratory conditions.

Synthetic oils, produced through a different technology in a laboratory environment, are more resistant to higher and lower temperatures as well as high pressure compared to mineral oils.
