GL-1: Used in spiral-bevel and worm gear axles operating under moderate service conditions, as well as some manual transmissions.

GL-2: Used in worm gear axles where GL-1 performance is insufficient.

GL-3: Used in manual transmissions and spiral-bevel gear axles under moderate service conditions.

GL-4: Used in hypoid gears under heavy service conditions without shock loading.

GL-5: Used in hypoid gears under severe service conditions with shock loading.

GL-6: Designed for gears under heavy-duty service conditions with high pressure.
